Currently watching a stream from Lollapalooza, Jack White is killing it. From work with his ‘sister/wife/friend’ Meg to The Raconteurs to Loretta Lynn to The Dead Weather, he can almost do no wrong. Can’t say that I am blown away with his current project, a few gems for sure, not quite ground breaking but still cool. Looks and sounds like it would be pretty fun to be in Chicago right now. Not sure I could handle a big festival anymore. Sweaty crowds bogarting on my personal space, guess I like AC and being alone a bit much now.
He did once dated Renee Zellweger which is pretty cool.
The Raconteurs are probably my favorite Jack White joint. Great song.
Featuring Jack White, he actually produced Van Leer Rose for Loretta Lynn. I love this song. I don’t think it will ever grow tired to my ears. So cool how it builds for the first 1:30 of the song. The back and forth then ending harmonies between the two are flawless.
So just announced, May 19th, The Orange Peel in Asheville, Jack White. Something to look forward to. Almost every show that I have seen at The Orange Peel has been pretty damn memorable, plus Asheville is a great place to spend a Saturday afternoon beforehand. Get the hippiester vibe going.
The Raconteurs, below, is arguably the best Jack White ‘joint’. From what I have heard, his new release is decent, maybe not groundbreaking but solid. I just read a review of his show @SXSW and he played a bit from all of his ventures. What are the chances of Loretta Lynn showing up in Asheville for Portland, Oregon ? Doubtful but would be way cool.
Jack White has new music out, sounds okay. It’s hard to keep up with all of his projects, The Raconteurs are possibly the best outside of his work with Meg White. His collaboration with Loretta Lynn is pretty amazing also.
